Content is Key

Advertising can be overwhelming. The large mass of messages thrown at us from day to day can cause our brains to get run down. As the competition for ad space and top of mind awareness has become fiercer, advertisers have to consistently find new ways to make their content stick out.

Consumers expect more from ads. They want content that makes them feel something, gives them hope, gives them purpose, maybe even makes them cry a little.

Here are a few ads that we think hit the mark and we're very effective in both presentation and content.

Heinz Ketchup is making a strong point that they grow their product like no one else does, as shown by a ketchup bottle that looks like a cut up tomato. It’s a simple message strengthened by a memorable design.

Gold’s Gym produced this ad on the right, also very simple in its message. It’s showing how one man can go from “fat” to “fit”, making it seem totally possible for you too. It also makes you realize how little difference there is between the two words, making it a powerful concept.

This ad for the National Health Service is encouraging people to seek out help if they are “hearing voices.” The picture features the shape of an ear that looks like a nose and mouth to get the point across. It’s very powerful imagery and a good reminder.

Design & content work together to create meaningful messages that hopefully get a point across. It’s important to be thoughtful, relevant and creative in your design solutions so as to reach the desired goal. We hope you’ve been inspired today to go out and make something awesome!
